I see that our E170 photo-silhouette has been relabelled by the ICAO as E75S, which is the code for the 175 with short wings and the ERJ-170-200 with short wings, so that's what I've done.

Perhaps Alan can tell me how the E75L fits in - it just confuses me!

Oh, and here's a G44 (Grumman Widgeon) too

Very hard to distinguish between E75S and E75L S=Short wing and L=Long wing and refer to the winglets.  From the front the E75S has near vertical winglets and the E75L is more around 45 degrees and the changeover from the original designation E170 to E75S and E75L was from around c.n 17000400 but the Type certificate does not list an introduction c/n.  The E75l has a newer design winglet which adds around 10ft to the span.  The winglet types and hence designations were a bit mixed around the changeover point but we can assume all the ones before 400 are E75S and all after are E75L with a few exceptions. 

I hope to find the time to get the E75L's changed over during the week
