Coverage in Dubai
« on: August 03, 2008, 10:19:25 AM »
Hi

I live in Dubai (UK Expat) and wondered whether I would get value from RadarBox here in the UAE.  I read that 70% of aicraft are ADS_B enabled,  does that apply to Middle East ?  As you know a lot of the aircraft out this way are a little older than the average !

Thanks

Mike

This might give you some idea of coverage from your closest Radarbox user.  Looks like a very active region.

All the EK, Etihad aircraft have ADS-B and also other airlines BAW, AAL, PIA will also have ADS-B and be shown.

Considering DXB is already busy it will only get bussier with the new airport.

We had a user in Dubai that reported lots of activity. Without an external antenna he was able to see Abu Dhabi approach, imagine with a proper antenna and pre-amplifier. As our support said almost all Emirates and Etihad aircraft have ADS-B. An installation in Dubai running 24/7 would be really interesting and important to all of us.

It would be great if you had one RadarBox live 24/7 in Dubai (just like the Kuwait stations we have).
