If you've got Norton Anti-virus, then you should see a Norton Protection Centre icon.  Looks like this (without the X though).  Use "Scan Exclusions" to exclude the ANRB folders from virus checking.

I have been sending reports to a well-known groups page and this evening have noticed that that on 5 occasions a flight has been tied up with at least three seperate aircraft. According to my log United 937 was operated by N641 and N643 and N652UA today. Your thoughts on this please.

For 'Brisbane'
I have a similar problem and reported this earlier (see page 6).
I too report daily logs for Sydney to a spotters group and get the same problem.
I think the reporter is picking up old flights from MyLog rather than current flight.

Rod W,

I hope that means you found the AVG fix or Norton fix and not waiting each time for ages for it to load :)

Hi,

Thanks for the response and for the heads up.
I have to say I am unaware of the AVG fix, please tell me more as yes, it is taking quite a while to load still.

Many thanks

Rod W,

I assume you have AVG Anti Virus installed. If so do the following,  double click on the AVG icon next to clock on the right hand corner of your screen.

Go to Tools -> Advanced Settings -> Execptions (under Resident Sheild) -> Add path -> Enter your path to AirNav Systems which is usually:

C:\Program Files\AirNav Systems\

(Location may be differen if using Vista)

Airnav,

Mine is taking around 3 mins + to load, even with exceptions in Norton, it seems to take its time checking the my log db then it is ok ?? i have 8k + aircraft in my log

(although this is not a major problem as the program now seems to run for days,  without any restarts so far, it is still anoying)

In case others haven't realised, if you're using Vista, you also need virus checking exceptions for the Virtual Store.  C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\AirNav Systems

Otherwise Norton (or others) will constantly be checking the MyLog and Navdata databases, which really slows everything down.

Or, my advise is NOT to install ANRB in C:\Program Files\AirNav Systems, but somewhere like C:\AirNav Systems

ANRB 90+ Initially until the green loading menu drops to nav data then
SYSTEM IDLE 80+
ANRB 20 -30 THEN goes top. wit upto 90
Once loaded ANRB 08-30

Similar issue with laptop, also takes ages to load but I have copied my log to laptop.
