This program uses RadarBox Network XML data to show the flow of air traffic.  Hopefully, it won't be one of those "blink and you miss it" type bits!

Below, link to the main site:

And if you go to the credits page, Airnav even get a mention!!

Congratulations to Airnav for providing the XML data to the BBC.  And all of us I guess, it was our data!!!  Seeing the programme made me realise why my aircraft list is empty at the moment - all that crowded sky down south.

That is great news to see our name there.
Actually this is not the first time AirNav Systems has provided flight data to TV documentaries: we had previously done it for the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, etc for the famous Mayday aviation series.

The first episode of Britain From Above is now available on the BBC iPlayer.  For those of you who just want to see the aircraft tracks produced from RadarBox Network data, see the following link:

This may only be available to UK viewers - something about all you overseas chaps not paying for a UK TV licence :-)

It's on at 2100 UK time on a Sunday evening BBC One followed by a "companion"program on BBC Two at 2200.  Each of these is 3 episodes, although I don't know if we're going to see the aircraft data again.  Even so, it's a very interesting and informative series.

It's also avaialable to watch on the BBC iPlayer website if you are in the UK - you don't need to install the iPlayer on your PC any more, you can just watch it on the site.  They tend to keep the programs on the site until the following episode is shown, then that one replaces it.
