First 'interesting' contacts
« on: July 28, 2008, 04:08:21 PM »
I got my very first Tornado today;

43C043 ZE793 Panavia Tornado F3

I realise that's small beer to the likes of you tarbat living as you do in the middle of a bombing range but its my first one! ;^)

I also noticed a total of 3 Westland WAH-64D Longbow Apache helicopters out and about today also;

43C264 ZJ207
43C268 ZJ211
43C273 ZJ222

Over the weekend I also captured;

Avro Vulcan B2 (Friday)
Supermarine 361 Spitfire
Westland WAH-64D Longbow Apache (another one)
Boeing E-3A Sentry
Boeing E-3B Sentry
Airbus A380 [x4]
Antonov An-124-100 [x5]
Boeing C-17A Globemaster III [x29]

Along with a further 7252 aircraft I would say the RadarBox looks to be an awesome piece of kit!

Kind regards,
-=Glyn=-

Any corrections, missing Mode-S info or suggestions/additions etc. would be gratefully received.

Any good to you Terry - I haven't seen any Typhoons yet matey...:-)

Thanks & regards,

PS. Actually Terry I have seen a Typhoon - picked up 43C4A3 along with a Harrier 43C3FB  but never noticed as My Log didn't automatically populate the list with aircraft details so I missed it...

Hi Glyn - great list - haven't had many of them up here in Lancashire yet!

A hint for posting lists like that - use the "Teletype" icon and paste the list between the two sets of square-bracketed tt's

That uses a fixed-pitch font so that columns line up nicely.

Glyn,

Have you actually seen any of the Thames Valley Police helecopter in the list or had an alert. The reason I ask is the local Hertfordshire ones do not even use Mod-S let alone ADS-B

Thanks for the hint about the "Teletype" icon Rod.

It was better straight off the bat but despite cutting the data from an Excel spreadsheet, pasting it into Notepad and pasting it in my post the formatting was still screwy - took me ages to straighten it up...:-(

But at least it looks better now...

Roadrunner, havent seen either of the Thames Valley Police Helicopters in MyLog and don't recall seeing them pop up on alert but I do see G-EMID pop up regularly.

When I look in MyLog and select it it doesn't show how many times it has been recorded though.

I have even seen the Strathclyde Police Helicopter - not bad for someone living in Oxfordshire!

Thanks for the replies.

Kind regards,
-=Glyn=-

If anyone is interested in having them, I have all the current UK Police & Air Ambulance aircraft registrations.

If anyone feels they would be of interest let me know and I will post them.

Whilst on the subject of contacts, does anyone know why very few Delta flight numbers appear?  From postings on the websites, it would seem that the  SBS users can tie them up. The only one's I can i.d. are 767-400's.
