USB Problem solved!
« on: May 31, 2018, 09:07:36 AM »
A tip if you have the same problem. In the night when there were fewer flights my ANRB received fine and worked neatly without interruptions. However, when more and more flights were received on the day, the USB connection was lost. After a long search, the problem was found! The power of the internal USB port is insufficient when it receives too many flights. The solution was simple: a USB-hub with its own power supply. Problem fixed. My ANRB is now running for days without any interruptions!

Just for info:

With 3500 particular aircraft resulting in 6500 to 7500 flight movements per day, I noticed, that the ANRB software destabilizes, if it is run for more than a week without any restart of the software. Therefore I set up an automatic protocoll that closes ANRB software, then doing a back-up of MyLog.db and then stating ANRB again. The protocoll is launched each night during times of very low airtraffic and needs about 6 minutes to complete.

Hi Ingo,

ays without any problems. Five days ago the ANRB was suddenly offline for several hours and then went online again. I saw this on the laptop while I was at the campsite. Fortunately, the software had gone further.
When I researched the cause at home it turned out that it was caused by the Anti Virus software. Automatic updating was enabled and that was the cause. The program is no longer automatic.
You have solved the problem nicely. I assume you wrote a script yourself?
