Radarbox 6.02.003
« on: February 11, 2023, 02:16:44 AM »
Hi for all.
I have the software instaled in my notebook and I have a FlghtStick USB.
Can the Radarbox 6.02.003 see the data of my flightstick?

What data format can the software see?

I have tried send data in Beast, msg and sbs10001, but the RB software not see this data.

Yes the flightstick works well with the V6 software.

Did you install the flightstick drivers from here https://www.airnavsystems.com/Download/ANRB/Drivers/microRadarbox-Drivers-20150411.exe

Another question:

Radarbox V6 software works with ModesDeco or ModesMixer?

I have instaled the drivers.
In the software, this configuration is correct?

It states you are connected so you should see aircraft on the MyFlights tab.

There is no need for the local host connection.  That is solely used by xrange receivers to connect to V6 via the home network and for the stick should be left blank

No, AirNav Radarbox V6 does NOT work with any of formats used/produced by dump1090-mutability, dump1090-fa, ModesMixer2, and ModesDeco2.

However AirNav Radarbox V6 does work with the special format produced by RPi's rbfeeder at RPi's Port 32088.

To use RPi's rbfeeder's special formated output, do following settings in AirNav Radarbox V6:

Main Menu -> File -> Preferences -> Tab "Radarbox" -> Scroll to bottom -> Add RPi's IP address, and add Port 32088 -> Apply -> OK

Please see two screenshots below.

ABCD

You are correct in what you write if the question is related to Linux or indeed an x-range receiver.  However in this instance the stick is being used in conjunction with a notebook, presumably a Windows one therefore what you write has no significance unless it us a Linux notebook.

I would also add that version 6.00.02 would be better as there is no need in Windows for the feature you mention and 6.00.02 does not have the bugs introduced with the feature

For windows all that is needed is to install the software and the drivers and you can see them installed properly in Control Panel/Devices and Printers/Unspecified.  Plug in the stick turn on V6 and it should work straight away

Thanks Alan for detailed explanation.

The confusion arose because of my mistake. I forgot to mention that the configuration I explained (using data from RPi's port 32088) can be used ONLY when following two conditions are met:

(1) No dongle or receiver is plugged into Windows PC.

 AND

(2) The user is already feeding Radarbox24 using a RPi.
In this case he has a DVB-T, or Radarbox Flightstick, or Flightaware ProStick, or Nooelect nano, plugged into RPi, which runs dump1090 and rbfeeder.

Hope this explains the situation.

I uninstalled the driver that Zadig installed and run the program that Runway spoke about. The MicroRadarBox-Driver.

Now the Software are connected with MicroRB.

Thank's Runway and abcd.
