ANRB XRange2 connection problems -URGENT-
« on: October 13, 2022, 11:13:01 PM »
Hi to all

Help needed in order to urgently solve this problem.

I have an old ANRB working 100% with an Wimo kit antenna + amplifier with Ecoflex cable 10".

Today, I received my ANRB XRange2 and connected it to my D-LINK switch and to the amplifier with a distributor BNC/SMA for antennas.

The amber light is fixed, the one from switch is green but no activity (green light) on output Ethernet in ANRB XRange2(?).

I also noticed that the connection SMA plug on the ANRB Range2 is hot, which is not the case with the other old ANRB.

Carlos

Station: Primetec PGANRB100514
Antenna: Wimo GP-1090 (AS-1090/BT-1090)
Cable: Ecoflex 10 (15m)

Station: XRange2 PGANRB501386
Antenna: Airnav Systems
Cable: LBC240 00220M (15m)

An amplifier is not need as he xrange has one fitted internally

Also try connecting the supplied antenna direct to the receiver

I also note that your station has been online and working on 2 occasions so you appear to have done something to stop it working

Otherwise contact support for assistance

Alan

Hi Alan

I know ANRB XRange 2 has an internal amplifier, however I thought it could be possible an operation with 2 stations with the same Wimo antenna.

I'm going to install the new ANRB in the roof.

During the first test process I didn't checked if the new one ANRB501386 was on line as the green light of the station was off, just the ambar was on.

And as the SMA connector was hot I turn off the power.

Perhaps tomorrow I can make some advances in installation.

Hi Alan,

Thanks for information. I thought it wasn't working because the green light of the Ethernet in ANRB wasn't fixed green.

I'm going to turn it on again and tried to acess the new ANRB station page in the internet as I don't know yet how to do it. How can I add it to my account page ?

However I'm worried about the fact of the SMA connector of a extension cable different than the original antenna, it is thinner became hot.

As soon as possible i will install the new antenna on the roof.

My ANRB XRange2 is registed in my local network (ambar light fixed) but no data transmited (green light is off).

I still operating with my Wimo amplified antenna for a couple of days until I can install the new one.

Any idea ? Adicional configuration in the my private network needed ? Need to change security procedures in the Firewall ?

Hi Alan

Thanks for help.

I spent part of the night checking cables and connections. The station is ok now but working with the old amplified Wimo Antenna.

Today is cloudy here in Lisbon and it's going to rain in the evening, however I'll try to install the new ANRD antenna before the rain begins to connect ANRB XRange2 to it.

It's possible to add the new PGANRB501386 to my profile as the PANRB100514 or to checked data I still need two diferente pages?

Hi Alan

Just receveid the activation mail from Airnav Support, everything is ok now.

I installed the ANRB antenna in the roof this morning but not in the way I wished. I need an new mast and it will take some time.

The reception signal is near 100 NM less than the old ANRB due to antenna position and the SMA extension cable but for now is the best I can do. The important is to have the station 24h ON and sharing data.

You can only do what you can Carlos.  A little at a time and you will get there

Airnav also have antenna cable extensions for the xrange available

Alan

Thanks for information, I spoke with friends and they are going to provid me an SMA extension cable with 3/4 meters, it solve part of the problem.

Antenna repositioning will be for later, so soon as I can.
