Adding a second radarbox receiver (MicroRB) to my account?
« on: August 10, 2017, 11:45:46 PM »
I already sent an email to airnav but I will post the question here as well.

I already am sharing my radarbox classic and have been for years now.  I Just recently added a NooElec dongle to my other PC and would like to start sharing it to radarbox24 as well.  Under "Your stations"  I of course see my radarbox classic PGANRB etc,,,,,, How do I get my NooElec Dongle being detected as a MicroRB to show up under "Your Stations"?  How do I find out what my "Station ID" is?

regards,

Jason

No idea on the answer Jason but normally the dongle is used as a replacement for the box and you would just use the password etc you use for the box on the dongle.  Guess this one will be for support to answer

The best way to find out how to add a new station (microRadarBox or DVB-T dongle on Windows computer) to existing account, is to send an email to [email protected]

If the DVB-T was on Raspberry Pi, it is very easy and automatic to add new station to the existing account. I have done it. See details below:

I have one Windows feeder EXTSHA000184 feeding Radarbox24 for many years.

Couple of months ago when AirNav released their feeder for RPi, I installed the rbfeeder on all of my my 3 RPis. These RPi were already feeding Flightaware, Planefinder, Flightradar24, and Adsbexchange. After installing rbfeeder, I claimed all 3 stations (EXTRPI000008, EXTRPI000035, and EXTRPI000036) under existing account. The procedure to claim is here:

Ok guys, I am a little stumped here.  I have been going back and forth with Airnav.

They are asking me for my Station ID.  They said it should start with EXSTA...

Where do I get this?   As I said, when I signed up with the sharing application, I chose Micro RB. (Nooelec) and it said my station ID is X-CYYZ-1

Should they be linking X-CYYZ-1 to my account?

Hi Jason

(1) Go to https://www.radarbox24.com/
(2) At top-right on this page you will see a button "LOGIN". Click that button, and in popup window login to your Radarbox24 account using email & RB24 password.
(3) After successful login, the name of this button will change from "LOGIN" to "MY ACCOUNT". Click this button, and a dialogue box will slide in at top left. Click on it "Your Stations" to see your station number ":EXTSHAxxxxx"

It wont show under MyStations until it is linked to your account.  If it is not linked to your account it will not show so If the NooElec dongles is  X-CYYZ-1 tell support that and ask that they link it to your account.

To know what is your EXTSHAxxxxx number, use "RB24 Data Sharer 1.20" software for Windows.

(1) Download it from here: http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/rb24/RB24DataShare120Setup.exe
(2) Run the downloaded file "RB24DataShare120Setup.exe" to install it on your Windows Computer.
(3) After installation start it.
(4) When the application starts:
  • Click tab "RadarBox24 Account".
  • Enter the email and password you used to register for your RB24 account.
  • Press "Connect" button
(5) Upon pressing connect button the "Connection" tab will appear which will show your X-CYYZ-xx number, as well as EXTSHAxxxxx number.
(6) Note down your EXTSHAxxxxx number, and email to support to link it to your account.

Hi Jason!

Glad to know that you could finally find your EXTSHAxxxxx Station Number.

The "RB24 Data Sharer 1.20" software for Windows is the oldest software of AirNave for feeding data from Windows computer.

However, it is only data feeder, and requires input at port 30003 from a receiver-decoder software. It cannot directly use the DVB-T dongles like NooElec or Generic, or Flightaware ProStick.

There are many softwareware available which connect to DVB-T, and output decoded data on port 30003, useable by the "RB24 Data Sharer". Any one of following software will feed decoded data to "RB24 Data Sharer", which will then feed this data to Radarbox24 under your account:

I use RTL1090 scope beta3 from http://rtl1090.com/ . The download link is:

http://planevision.de/download/rtl1090.beta3.zip

Here is the screenshot of my "RTL1090 Scope beta3"
At the bottom of screen if you click "Scope" button, a radar map with planes will be displayed.
