Evening all,

Not sure this is the best place to post this thread but I am looking for help to reinstall the USB dongle. I have had it set up for over a year but recently my PC has been playing up so had to do a format and since then I just can't get it to work.

I'm running Windows 10 and have been using the Zadig 2.4 to try and get it to make the driver work but it's not. I also have RadarBox 6.02.003 which when I open the app it's not showing the dongle listed.

I had numerous issues when I first got this and seems I'm getting them again :(

On the Zadig installer, are you seeing the dongle listed on the line next to Edit in the drop down list when you List all Devices

Highlight it and then click install driver

Hi Runway 31,

It's not listing the dongle.

(1) Download Zadig.exe from http://zadig.akeo.ie/ .

(2) Plug the DVB-T Dongle in your Windows Computer.

(3) Follow the steps below:

Double click Zadig.exe to run it.
The window below will open.

.

On main menu, click "Options".
On the drop-down, place a check mark beside "List All Devices".

.

From list of devices, select "RTL2838" which is actually DVB-T or FlightStick or ProStick.
Now click button which will either say "Install Driver" or "Reinstall Driver"

Hi,

Thanks for that info but the RTL isn't showing. When I select list all devices I then get Bulk-in, Interface (Interface 0) -  Bulk-in, Interface (Interface 1) - USB Receiver (Interface 0) - USB Receiver (Interface 1) - Bluetooth Radio -  Bulk-in, Interface (Interface 2) but no RTL.

I have tried different USB ports also just in case and have formatted the PC several times.

Formatting the PC will not assist in this or most computer issues so I would suggest dont do it as there is no need

What does the drop down list show if you unplug the stick

What USB stick are you using.  If it is a Flightstick it should show in the drop down list as an RTL2838UHIDIR.  I would suggest that if you are not seeing that then there may be an issue with the stick.  Can you try another stick?

Hi Runway 31,

I am using the little green FlightStick but sadly don't have another to try.

If I remove it from the USB port I only see
USB Receiver (Interface 0)
USB Receiver (Interface 1)
Bluetooth Radio
USB Receiver (Interface 2)

The USB Receiver is the dongle I use for my Logitech keyboard because when I remove the dongle it only then shows Bluetooth Radio.

When I plug the FlightStick in then I get Bulk-In, Interface (Interface 0) and Bulk-In, Interface (Interface 1) show up.

I just opened the Bluetooth page on my PC and it has the RTL2838UHIDIR listed under other devices so strange it won't find it.

Just going to try the driver pack you recommended

chrischelt

Tried the drivers pack and it's still showing as Bulk-In

Runway 31

Chris

You usually find it in Control Panel/Devices and Printers under Unspecified.  No idea why it should be showing under Bluetooth

Where did you install the V6 software too, hopefully to c:\Airnav and not to program files

In the Zadig installer interface, bring up the Bulk In Interface (0) in the Edit line as detailed by ABCD and install the WINUSB drivers as detailed on his screen shots

Alan

It's just in the other devices area rather than Bluetooth it's self. It is however listed correctly there but when I check device manager it's listed as bulk-in

How about the next message Chris?

Hi Alan,

Sorry I missed the second message. I have just tried that and edited the name to RTL2838UHIDIR then reinstalled the WinUSB(v6.1.7600.16385) driver but sadly it's made no difference. I have made sure to install the software to the C drive rather than program folder.
