Support
« on: July 04, 2020, 11:00:11 AM »
Does anyone know how long it should take Support to reply to emails? I've been waiting a week.

I want to get my feeder position on the map moved, as it's miles out.

I'd also like to upgrade my account, using my sharing key. I can't find anywhere to do so on the site. Does Support have to do it?

TIA

Support aim to reply within 24 hours, did you get an auto reply, if not they have not received your email

Regarding your position on the map if you bring up your station you will see next to your location Cranage on the grid top left Edit, click on it and enter your exact location lat/lon

Your account should upgrade automatically to Business but if it has not for some reason advise support [email protected] of your station EXTRPI010157 number along with your email address used to log into RB and ask them to link your receiver to your account.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you mean this page?

I don't see anything that I can edit.

To the right of Croydon it states Edit, click on it and it brings up a window Please insert your station location.  Enter your Latitude and Longitude, click Exact Location then Preview and Save I think it is

No idea, they all show with Edit for me, another thing for you to ask Support, maybe its because the receiver is not linked to your account yet

@SkyPi:
Most likely you have claimed/linked your station using one email account, but when you visit web map, you login using another email.

Another possible cause may be that to visit web map, you are using station number which does not belong to you.

Please do this:

(1) Open file rbfeeder.ini to edit
Code: [Select]
sudo nano /etc/rbfeeder.ini

(2) In opened file check following line:
sn=EXTRPIxxxxxx
Is it EXTRPI010157 ?
If yes, go to step (3)
If no, then you have been visiting web map of a wrong site. Visit web map with station number in the file rbfeeder.ini

(3) In the file opened, add three lines shown in red below. Replace
xx.xxxx by your actual latitude value
yy.yyyy by your actual longitude value
zzz by your actual altitude value (meters above sea level)

Quote
[client]
network_mode=true
log_file=/var/log/rbfeeder.log

key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
sn=EXTRPI010157

lat=xx.xxxx
lon=yy.yyyy
alt=zzz

[network]
mode=beast
external_port=30005
external_host=127.0.0.1

[mlat]
autostart_mlat=true
#mlat_cmd=/usr/bin/python3.5 /usr/bin/mlat-client

[dump978]
#dump978_enabled=true

(4) Save file (Ctrl+O) and close it (Ctrl+x)

(5) Restart rbfeeder
Code: [Select]
sudo systemctl restart rbfeeder

(6) Wait 10 minutes, then check your map

Thanks,

I've updated the config file with lat/long etc, but the map hasn't changed.

It may well be the account settings, so I've emailed support.

No, not upgraded yet.

Still waiting for a reply from support on that, and which email address is linked to it.
