Feeding AIRNAV without a raspberry pie
« on: June 02, 2019, 04:47:06 PM »
Hello! I just picked up a radarbox usb receiver. Everywhere I read it seems like the only way to feed data to radarbox is with a raspberry pie. Currently I have a dedicated R210II server in my server room running virtual box. I was thinking of spinning up a new virtual machine with windows and feed that way. Is there an issue with this?

Thanks!

Hi

There is not problems using a USB stick with windows to feed RB24 and I don't foresee any issues doing what you suggest.

Use the V6 software with the stick http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRB60002Setup.exe  and the drivers for it http://www.airnavsystems.com/Download/ANRB/Drivers/microRadarbox-Drivers-20150411.exe

I've been trying to get this to work for the last two days. I've installed the drivers and radarbox software to C:/airnav My flightstick lights up white. But in the radarbox program its shows a red box and says hardware not connected... hmmm.

hmmm... So I went out and purchased windows 8.1 last night. Unfortunately I'm getting the same issue. Radar box just keeps saying no hardware is connected. Windows is seeing my flightstick no problem but its coming up unspecified. I've ran the microbox driver exe multiple times but it just runs a cmd bat says "Successful" I do a restart and it still shows unspecified.

I am using driver Zadig with Win 8.1. Zadig works perfectly well with Win 8.1

(With Win 10, Zadig may or may not work)

Method to install rtl-sdr driver zadig:

Is My DVB-T RTL SDR Dongle Healthy?

Go to  OPTION-1, and carry out "STEP 1 of 3" ONLY.
