Getting High is getting Bad!

I have struggled with this problem from the start, I am in a residential area not far from Whitman Field in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Oshkosh does not have a lot of traffic except when the Experimental Aircraft Association has their annual fly in every year, then it is the busiest Airport in the World.

Here's my problem, my computer and equipment is located in the basement, to get the best signals possible I have my antenna located on a tower, the tower to the tip is about 50' in the air, so the cable to start is way too short and the longer cable the weaker the signal is to the receiver, does anyone know exactly what connector goes on the end of the 100 AF, 50 Ohm Low Loss Cable, and has anyone used a signal booster?.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, :)

The connector at the antenna end is "N" Type. 

If extending the cable it should be a low loss cable suitable for 1090Mhz and RG-213, CO-22, LMR400 or Aircom plus are suitable types.  As you stated the cable length should be as short as possible.

I used LMR 400 cable (46 feet). Have picked up planes at 246nm, so can recommend that cable.

ECOFLEX 15 (+) cable is even better, but I could not get that here in New Zealand.

The LMR-600 is almost equal to the ECOFLEX 15 +.
