always wrong aircraft type
« on: December 11, 2015, 10:24:13 AM »
I have two ANRBs. One got B721 of aircraft type for A03F48, A01412 and A046B6, but the other got B763. Why does the same aircraft have different aircraft type shown in these 2 ANRBs. And I also got B721 and B763 alerts from them respectively.

I am sure that B763 is correct for these aircrafts. But I don't know what's wrong in one.

Are there any solution for this problem?

Thank a lot.

Hi yang,

The database entries for the 3 hex codes details are as follows-

A03F48,N115FE,42713/1078,Boeing 767-3S2F,FedEx Express
A01412,N104FE,42708/1064,Boeing 767-3S2F,FedEx Express
A046B6,N117FE,44379/1079,Boeing 767-3S2F,FedEx Express

Are you using software version 5.00.72 and do you have an up to date database on each unit.  The reason I ask is that in each case previously each registration was used by a Boeing 727 but these were sold and re-registered many years ago.  In each case the registrations have been re-allocated and are now on the Boeing 767's so I would suspect your database needs updated.

Alan, thanks for your reply.

Which database do I need to update? What is the file name?

If using V5.00.72 go to File/Database Explorer/Database Updates/ Update all Records/Start Update.  Uou will then see a green progress bar going from left to right and once finished the update will start to be processed and then you will be advised to close down Radarbox and restart to finish the process.  On restarting the process will finish and with todays update you should have 235,262 aircraft records.  You can update the database in this way each day with all new additions, deletions and amendments made in the previous 24 hours.

If you are still using an old version go to File/Database Explorer/Tables/Aircraft put the hex code in the Text to Find box Set Condition to IN and Field to MS then press find and it should bring up the details for the aircraft at the top and you can manually change each field to the information I gave in my previous reply.

If you need any further assistance just ask.

It shows only 80189 rows of aircraft after I finished database update.

My ANRB is version 5.00.072.

You would appear to have more than one instance of the RB software on your computer and the update is going to the wrong one.  You will probably have both the old software and V5.00.72 installed

If you use windows search to look for NavData.db3 file, it will be in the data folder of the old installation.  You will probably see a few files with that in the name but it is solely that one with no extensions you are looking for.  It will be around 68,396KB in size and with todays date as the date modified.  Once you find it drag it into the correct data folder of the new installation and replace the one that is in there.  It should then show the 235,*** rows once restarted.

You would however be better to delete all traces of the original installation and install the update to c:/Airnav, do not install to programme files location.  Before deleting save your MyLog.db3, photo folder, logos, silhouettes etc to somewhere safe and replace the ones in the new installation if you go that way.

Thank you very much, Alan.

I know how to do it now. I will reinstall ANRB software into C:\Airnav and update the database again when i am locally to the computer.

Thank you.
