Can a AirNav Antenna line be extended a short distance and if so what type of connection is it, I know I would need a coupler like a double female to attache them together but I don't know what to ask or look for.

To extend the existing cable you would need a cable with following connectors:
Side A to connect with the existing cable: e.g.
http://www.l-com.com/coaxial-sma-female-crimp-for-rg58-195-series-cable
Side B to connect with the Radarbox Hardware: e.g.
http://www.l-com.com/coaxial-sma-male-crimp-for-rg58u-cable
Best is to look for a shop, that sells customized cable (they mount the connectors you need)
For very short connections you can use RG58 Cable (<5m), for longer extentions you may use Aircell5 or M&P Airborne 5 (more than 50% less attenuation as RG58 Cable) cable. All three cables have 5mm outer diameter and can be assembled with SMA connectors.
I don't recommend the use of double female adapter plus male male SMA cable, as you have one additional contact paring in this connection line. Every contact paring reduces signal level and signal quality.
