Duplicate aircraft shoing in Display list
« on: September 27, 2013, 06:45:17 AM »
Hi

I've had my radarbox for a few years and get on well with it, however, one thing that i 'live with' is the following error and i was windering if anybody knew why it happened.

Sometimes it appears that the signal received by the box from the aircraft is decoded 'twice'  once correctly and once not.  This then shows in the list as two aircraft, usually, with only one digit different in the 6 figure mode s code. They usually have the same callsign, but, a slight delay in altitude changes.

As i say, i live with this, but, it can be frustrating at times, recently in Palma i had it decoding 3 times on some aircraft.  it's not a constant thing just happens from time to time whilst the system is running.

Thanks

Ian

A known problem caused by interference/corruption of ModeS messages that don't have parity checking.  Will be fixed in the next version release.  See http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=7256.msg85307#msg85307 although will probably only require 2 consecutive identical messages.

Full explanation of the cause at http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=4916.msg49337#msg49337
