Here's an interesting one - flying sideways and unsure of its identity !

Interesting.  Here it is again - same airframe, different flight, different date (today).
Must be an equipment malfunction.

I have never seen  1020 Kts in commercial aviation. there is a phenomenon that I have never seen.

AirNav Development

It is possible. You just need a tailwind of 150+ Kts which is not uncommon when flying on a jetstream.

Sorry AirNav , but 500Kts + 150 Kts of jetstream = 650 Kts --not 1022Kts....
Ground Speed.....IAS is alwais 500 Kts....

tell me .. 1023Kt of  imagine of Deadcalm is  Kilometer/hour  or   Knots???????

AirNav Development

You are right...I mean km/hr. :-)

This aircraft has intrigued me for a while.  Today, the map display has shown its usual antics (facing sideways, alternating callsign, daft speed, etc.) until there is no heading information available (according to RadarBox), when it suddenly displays normally...

How very odd!
