Easiest way is to go to Airnav Sytems/Radarbox/Data and in there amongst all the other files you should see your mylog.db3 file.  Right click it and copy then paste to wherever you want to store it.
Airnav will require to be off as it wont be released other wise.

Sorry for previous incorrect info.  If you have already followed it just drag it back in replaceing the one that is now there.

I have saved a copy to my desktop yet when i look at the properties of the file
it says created 9 july 2012
modified 9 august 2008   (didnt even have my airnav then)
accessed 9 july 2012

if i am adding aircraft on a daily basis then why is the mdified date not todays date??

i have copied  mylog.db3 from within the Data folder

Looks like you may have more than one data folder.  If you installed from the cd and then upgraded to 3.13 or 4.03 you will have 2 instances of Airnav on your computer and are using the wrong one.  Did you have problems at one time installing the Navdata updates?

If you go to the mylog menu dropdown there is an option to save as CSV.  Which you can then view with Microsoft Excel or database.  However there is a bug in that the CSV file doesn't save the data as text.  Therefore when you view it in Excel it will try and convert some dates and hexes into numbers.

IE hex 4061E4 would be converted from the CSV file onto the XLS spreadsheet as 40610000

yes I do have trouble loading the updates
i have learnt that after loading i have to search my pc and delete all the ones that include the word virtual then the updates work ok.
I bought the 3D VERSION 4.03 and have only loaded it once

if i do have two copies on here how do i delete one of them without risking losing my precious 10005 picked up aircraft

You have installed to the default programme files location which gives the virtual store difficulties.  If you are not very computer savy I would leave things as they are and live with it

Regding the db3 file, use windows search to look for all instances of MyLog.db3 to find the correct one.

Looks like that is the one in use and is the one to copy.  The bak file is your back up and can also be used to replace the original if it goes corrupt, all you have to do is replace the original with it and rename by taking away the bak.
