787' Big Day - RadarBox Network Report
« on: October 26, 2011, 11:43:44 AM »
Today is indeed a Big Day for Boeing, ANA and for all the aviation enthusiasts around the world – the  first commercial flight of  Dreamliner. Please find below a short “gate-to-gate” report about this event from one of ADS-B spotter’s view.

But first of all I would like to thank all our colleagues from Airnav RadarBox network in Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong whose help made this report happen. I would also like to thank AirNav Dеvelopment and AirNav Support for the great product that gives me an opportunity to observe the sky and see what is happening there thousands and thousands kilometers from my house.

This is your report. And it’s also, in a small technical way, my own.

ANA7871 taxing and take-off from Narita:

Passing Japan and Taiwan airspace on the way to Hong Kong:

Landing and water salute in Chek Lap Kok:

You know, very often my colleagues ask me if I can describe RadarBox hardware and RadarBox network just in the few words. Why do I actually like it?

My answer is simple. These are just pleasure products… as nothing else in the market.

Excellent post, Nick.

Just to follow up - for the last couple of nights, ANA seem to be doing some low-level shake-down flights - yesterday it was as NH7873, today it's NH7875.

The first 787 for Air India has left Boeing Field for Delhi for trials in full Air India paint scheme, 8005F1/VT-ANH but still registered N1015B for the trip.

Continueing the 787 story, the first JAL examples are being delivered to Japan today.  Here is JA825J lifting off for its pacific transit.  http://flightaware.com/live/flight/JAL8101/history/20120326/2300Z/KPAE/RJAA

With a 9h30m scheduled transit time, they should appear on the network in Tokyo between 0900 and 1015 UTC

And these are some more illustrations from RadarBox Network of this ever first dual delivery in Dreamliner program.

Pictured below on the left, JA825J descends over the eastern seaboard of Honshu 15 munities before landing in Tokyo Narita Airport after 9 and half hours of her delivery flight from Everett.  Pictured below on the right, JA822J is on a short final in Tokyo Haneda Airport just in an hour after that.
