Hi Team Spirit,

I never disconnected anything no matter having thunderstorms, bolts ..... overhead.
I never had somenthing damaged ... neither PCS, neither RBs (Have 3 working here) neither Uboxes, routers... and so on... modems, etcs....

My equipments are all on the air for 4 year now.... including a complete remote station with PC, RB, ICOM PCR1500 .... a long list....

Some people already told that I am a lucky guy ... hahahahaahahaah
But, indeed .... it cloul be due to the basic care that i took with right equipmet groundings, antennas with loop (not open circuits..) and so on.
The worst thing that happened with bolts overhead is that "Hardware Connected" led on RB come to red..
two or three times... till now.
In disconnecting RB USB cable and reconecting it .... all continued working ...

Obviously (in my case) i will never disconnect something, even in dez 21 2012 .... when some people believes the world will end ! hahahahahahah

But, caution is never in excess....    So, if You dont feel confortable with the solar flares.... or anything else ...
It would be better disconect all.... In doing so, You will sleep very confortable even is the world ends ....

Please ..... dont take this in a wrong way... I am only jocking....

Reports says the effects from the CME are not as bad as expected and you only really need to worry if you're connected to a satellite. Our ground based equipment should be fine. ;-)

Thanks very much for your replies....Juan - I really enjoyed your's too thanks for your info and Budgie's was useful too. I did leave the system running and yes...it's still ok LOL so nothing to worry about and of course it's still logging quite happily.

But just for your info..... it is not so true what i wrote...
Today we had here in São Paulo a very strong thunderstorm, lot of rain....
and my remote PC at Congonhas (SBSP) died.... Probably it was due to lack of electical energy...
But the good news are that RB and an Ubox are still alive, and i am able to connect to RB from my house without problems... hahahahah  Not all is lost.... jet ! Hahahahha

On Monday will try to pass there to power up the PC.... maybe it will be usefull a nobreak ...
