About the amplifier:

Previously I had the AS-1090, but I have switched to the Kuhne. The results: A few more miles range and a better "edge" reception.

Attention: The AS-1090 has a Signal-Bypass-Relay, but the Kuhn hasn't one. This means: If the Power-Supply for the Amplifier is gone, you will still have a (weaker) Signal with the AS-1090. With the Kuhne the Signal will be totally gone.

About the cable:

The Westflex-103 will have a Loss of about 13dB per 100m at 1090MHz (ADS-B frequency)
The ECOFLEX-15 will have a Loss of about 9dB per 100m at 1090MHz.

Especially if you have more than 10m between the Antenna and the Receiver, the ECOFLEX will give a little more Signal on the edge. If you have around 5m Cable length there would be no big difference between the two cables.

Remark: With an outer diameter of 14.6mm the ECOFLEX is not that easy to handle. The Westflex-103 with 10,3mm would be more "courteous".

I have a 2nd hand WiMo GP-1090 Outdoor antenna for sale.  This is the antenna only so no cable, amplifiers.  I am selling on behalf of a friend.  When taken down it was in excellent working order and includes the mounting brackets and screws.  It had been up for about 1 year.  This antenna made a huge difference of the standard RB antenna and range went up from about 120NM to sometime over 220NM.  As per the WiMo site, it has a female N connector.

If interested, it's yours for NZD 100.00 plus shipping.  Shipping to UK is NZD 28.00 by airmail.
I accept payment by paypal.  Equivalent is USD 95.00.
