Why won't the radar rings lock on to my home location?

Afternoon all,

Have downloaded the ANRB on to a Samsung NC10. Have managed to enter my home location and survived the fun and games rotating the screen to click on apply/ok. Have centred the radar rings on my home location but they refuse to stay put! In whatever direction I pan the screen, the rings follow. Didn't have this problem when downloading on to other machines. What am I doing wrong this time around?

Under preferences/General, Radar Rings, do you have "Draw Centered at Home Location" ticked?
