Alert emails are sent from the local PC.  I see a little envelope and Norton email scanner popup when an alert gets sent.

I'm running Norton Protection Centre, which doesn't stop the alerts being emailed, although it does scan each alert email:

Alert email headers contain:
X-Apparently-To: [email protected] via 217.146.189.147; Mon, 17 Mar 2008 12:16:45 +0000
X-Originating-IP: [70.85.58.228]

The fact that the email has a from address of [email protected] may prevent the email being sent with some ISPs who require that email from addresses are for that ISP's domain.

I would like to know why it has been set up to have their non-usable email address
AirNav RadarBox 2008 Alert [[email protected]], rather than showing from my email address (if I so want), or are we not expected to want to send the info to a third party - or do they not want us to ?  :-)

Its sent from our server hence we don't want to spoof emails that way. Its best to keep it an email from our server.

Maybe if someone explained exactly how RadarBox sends e-mails I might have a better idea of what to look for.  Example:  I have Acarsd send an auto report to myself every midnight with no problem.  To do this I had to go into the configuration setup program and fill in my smtp information.  My Norton Internest Security does not block Acarsd from sending reports.  There is no where in RadarBox to enter information regarding my smtp server so how does RB know what my info is?  Sorry but I'm not a computer wiz and I can't understand this.  Any help is appreciated.

As I type we have changed this for V1.5. Emails will be sent from your email address (if it is available in Preferences window).

Implemented now. That's what we call programming in real-time. :-)

Did this make it into the ver1.5 release?  I can't seem to find it in PREFERENCES.  I still can't connect to the smtp server.
