Hi Jason and welcome to the wonderful world of RB and the forum.

Glad you like it - as someone said recently - remember to eat occasionally!

Mine has been on from 12 am to now 7pm EST and have 2407 logged for the day.  There has been some down time too this evening while messing with the computer.

As an update now that I'm using a DPD Productions antenna with a 50ft run of RG8 since my USB extender died.  With default timeout settings I just recently saw a max of 220 aircraft.  I think I may see even more during the peak time on weekdays.  I'm getting a steady 170-180 right now.  That's really good for a Sunday.

At this moment (0955 UTC) i have 302 aircraft in the list of which 93 with ADS-B.
At busy moments this figure often hits the figure of 400.

Regards,

Dirk.

Don't despair Chris - the comparisons are only valid if the timeout settings are the same and the locations are comparable.

The 24 hour figure total flights number is a good guide.

Hi

I have got 775 recorded in a 5 hour period today which as i am south east of gatwick is probably not suprising. I get inbound/outbound from Gatwick & Heathrow going to/from Europe + overflights via the south coast from Seaford round to Dover.

Unfortunately i am really only interested in Military aircraft which are few a far between down here. Therefore it quality (ie military) and not quantity that matters to me.

I am sure someone out there would swap places with me (not sure my wife would appreciate it though).

In my area, (central Massachusetts) the most flights I see at anytime is about 20. A daytime total (12 hours) would probably show around 800. Of these only about 15% are using the ADS-B. I see a lot of domestic flights in and out of Boston, and a lot of internationals coming and going from KIAD and KJFK.

The most ADS-B flights I've had at one time is a dozen.

For a 14 hour period 1400-1700 aircraft.  Normally around 120 in the late morning and afternoon.
But I do live in Cambridgeshire so I have Luton, Stansted and all the US and RAF bases in the area.

Antenna is a dedicated watson antenna.

Hi Charlie - what sort of range are you getting and what's your site like? I would have thought you might have had more than that in Cambridgeshire.

charlie

I get a good range out as far up as Manchester and over London.
Trouble antenna is inside and shielded on one side, but moving over the weekend to a better location with less barriers and the antenna will be outside aswell, so range should increase.
We currently live in a bit of a dip.
