« on: April 03, 2010, 09:58:56 AM »
hello

I have been recieving this error (which is normally cured by refreshing the page)for the last few days:

Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

has anyone else had this and does airnav know about this?

thanks

Andrew

Yes we are aware. Due to the extended holiday weekend we are getting a high load of people on the network/forum (infact we have broken some records). At times of high load the non essential services will show the busy sign.

We are looking to improve server load.

We are working on server to prepare it for the soon to be released AirNav ShipTrax. Because of this (installing new software) we have to sometimes (no more than 10-20 minutes per day) stop some services which cause the problem above described.

We hope the situation will be solved in 3-4 days.
