Another Newbie question
« on: February 14, 2010, 03:25:55 AM »
can you edit the database so that airline logos appear when they don't show up under airline or, if a Silhouette is missing? For instance, in the attached image several of the airline logos are not showing up even though the Company field is populated with the correct info.

I also had a canadian air aircraft show up with the correct company and the correct logo but not the Silhouette.

If you can use Database explorer to fix these, How??

If not, is there a 3rd party tool to do it???

The airline logo will only show if a valid Flight ID is displayed - and this is set by the crew, so if they don't do it, or get it wrong then you won't get an airline logo.  This is good, because it shows who is actually operating the aircraft rather than who it belongs to.

What was the type of the Canadian aircraft that didn't show a silhouette? If the aircraft type was wrong in the database, this can be corrected using Database Explorer.  See the AirNav YouTube video via the link at the top right of the forum.  Just remember that the short aircraft type must match the silhouette name for the silhouette to show.
