MyLog & Database Explorer aircraft type updated.
« on: December 31, 2009, 11:06:57 AM »
Good morning and a Happy New year to you all.

I have just spent the last week whilst off work updating information in MyLog and aircraft type in the Database Explorer. I now have a full and up to date list and have no nulls or ... where the aircraft types should be.

Total in MyLog = 8526
Total in Database Explorer Aircraft = 82946

The reason I started this topic is to inform any one who is thinking of doing the same thing is that I found a web site and I was able to print a 26 page list of ICAO aircraft type codes and this made the job quicker with a list in front of me for cross reference.

www.flugzeuginfo.net

Hope of some use to someone.
Steve.

Useful site, albeit with the odd typo - but bear in mind it only lists about half of the 2300 or so current valid ICAO type codes.

Think I will leave the next big update to next year.

Do you know of a better site out of interest that I can print a list from?.

Thank you.

Steve - you could try this Official page - I'm an XP user and the links don't work for me, but you may have better luck: http://www.icao.int/anb/ais/8643/

Click the Doc8643 link on the left.

Thank you for the web address.

I'm using vista and could not access the link either but on the same page I used the wild card (* wild card ) in the  manufacturer and model boxes. This produced a list of 9021 aircraft types on 244 pages to print.

Off subject Rod are you from Holland. If so do you know what has happened to Martin Jol the ex Tottenham manager. As a spurs fan we all miss him great manager?.

Glad that helped - happy printing!

No - I'm not from Holland, but from Chorley, Lancashire, and sorry, I don't know anything about Martin Jol!

Sorry regards to your whereabouts I had you confused with John Racars who I believe is from Holland.

I wish you a Happy New Year.
