Microsoft now insist on all drivers being signed.  It's a new revenue stream for Microsoft!!

See http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=528.msg30346#msg30346 for solutions.

Hmmm - as I could be in the market for a new PC shortly, is there a definitive answer to the question does RB work on Win7?
I hoped it could be used on the XP platform.

Certainly works ok with Win7 32bit.
Had it installed last weekend and RB cracked up straight away.

It's the 64 bit version that is at issue (as it is for XP and Vista).

Until the signed drivers are available, those that have problems will need to use one of the various workarounds that have been posted.

Hi Dunc., I'm a total technonumpty, and had a similar problem when I first tried to install 3.07, try this, with RB disconnected, start the RB program, then plug in the RB, you should get a prompt for automatic drivers - ignore that and opt for manual, open your C drive (or wherever you've installed the RB program) open the folder, until you see the driver file, double click on the file and (hopefully) it will install the RB driver.  Sorry, if this is a bit unclear, I'm still trying to get 3.08 running, using the help and advice from the others....................

No problems with the 64bit Drivers now that they have been signed by Microsoft, I changed my OS from Vista 32bit Ultimate to Win 7 64 bit ultimate and installed the 64 bit drivers downloaded from Forum and  never had as much as a sneeze.  the whole sytem working much better than before probably because the 64 bit system is more stable and can access the full potential of the installed memory (in this case 4mb)

One thing to to try - import a colour scheme.  That has caused this problem for others who have re-installed, although this bug is apparently fixed in v3.08.  It's caused by a registry setting being retained pointing to a colour file that no longer exists.
