« on: October 02, 2009, 09:27:54 AM »
Good Morning,

Have been away from RB for a while, this morning just getting into swing of things again, just downloaded latest 3.06 version, the thing is, the radar coverage i am achieving is less than previous by some considerable size, can anyone advise me please.

Don't know where you're based Lee but in my area of UK this morning distance is well down on previous days - if not weeks.

This has notihg to do with 3.06 but a change in the high pressure conditions we've been enjoying for so long.

Doesn't look that bad, but it could be that you need to allow longer for the new polar plot to build up. It isn't a failure of the front end filters though, otherwise your range would be way down in every direction.

At present I would estimate my ranges to be down a minimum of 30NM.

For the past week or more any aircraft at 35000/40000 on a bearing of 140 - my clearest line - could be picked up at a range of 160-190NM. Today I'm struggling to pull them in from 150NM.

it's just conditions but having said that, it's amazing what a difference they make. Oh, it's drizzling as well!!!
