First impressions and feedback from a new user.
« on: November 05, 2007, 06:25:18 PM »
Hallo,

Just installed my Radarbox today and it is great. Worked just out of the box!

I am based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and from the realtime map Airnav is providing I am to believe that my box is very close to another user who is sharing data on the network.

As I have read from the other threads the developent teams is actively looking for feedback so I will share mine:

Database:
I know you are working on a new version. All I can say is that I am very impressed with the Acars Analyzer database. It provides all the views and correlations I like. Rather than listing them all here I inserted the link http://www.cosmic.com.au/acarsanalyser/v3/ (This is a non-commercial product but please let me know if it is not ok to post).

Acars:
The Airnav Acars decoder is great and the integration with Radarbox works well. I use the ACARS internet stations as a datafeed and as far as I have been able to figure out it let you only connect to one server at a time. Other alike products let you connect to all available online servers and has a more extensive server list. I would like to connect to more then one server at a time in order to maximize the match between the traffic Radarbox is picking up (direct and via the network) and the ACARS messages available.

Full screen view (minor).
When I hit escape to go to Full Screen view a messge pops-up to remind that Escape needs to be hit in order to go back to the default view. I would like to be able to disable this message.

Again I believe it is a great product and I with the ongoing development efforts you are putting in it only can becomce better and stronger!

Thanks,

Willem
