First 'emergency' ive seen/heard
« on: June 30, 2009, 11:54:37 PM »
hi, was listening to my airband radio today and i heard "theres a strong smell of [something couldnt catch it] in the cockpit and we dont want to continue to east midlands thats why we are returning, at this stage theres no need to declare an emergency."

He had just taken off from aldergrove (EGAA) and was going to EGNX. Jet2 - callsign - EXS001A, registration - G-CELY.

It was good to hear and actually see the aircraft.

Anyone else like to share an emergency they have seen when using radarbox.

See and listen to my post http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=2862.0. A FlyBe DHC-8 that had nose wheel problems on approach and ended up blocking the runway on landing. Detected with the RadarBox alert system.
