Firmware Update failed

Hi
I've tryed to update my Radarbox Software and Firmware.
I've done it as described.
After I've installed the new program and the new driver I started the Firmware Update program (in the 'Airnav Radarbox 2007').
The Firmwareupdater started but there is just a message 'Opening RadarBox...'
The Radarbox is connected and the USB-LED is blinking. But it doesn't go on.
Nothing happens. It's not possible to update my firmware.
After I canceled the firmware update, I coundn't receive airplane signals from the Radarbox.
In the RadarBox Program it shows that the RadarBox is connected.

I use Windwos Vista.
When I open the RadarBox/Help/About Menu, it shows:
Software Version: ANRB13
Software Version Date: 2007.09.22
Firmware Version: <empty>

My RadarBox doesn't work at the moment... :(

Somebody can help me?

Hi Cofix,

Can you tell you your new driver version now? We just want to check its not an old driver which is causing an issue.

Also restart computer and make sure you only have RadarBox plugged in as USB device (if its possible) and uplug and plug it back in again and try the firmware update.

I restarted computer with only RadarBox as a USB device. Also uplug/plug RadarBox. Still the same problem.
USB-RadarBox-driver: Primetec
driver date: 27.06.2007
driver version: 2.2.4.0
 
I have installed the RadarBox Program to the drive "D" (instead of "C"). Also the Firmware-Updater. But I think it shouldn't be the problem.

Hi Cofix, make sure you run the programs in Administrator Mode

Thanks. I have run the programs in Administrator Mode already. It doesn't work. The Firmwareupdater has contact to the RadarBox, it just can't open it. If I unplug the RadarBox, the firmwareupdate ask to conntect the Box.
The same problem is also with my Windwos XP computer.
I'm affraid the RadarBox lost any firmware and now it's impossible to upload a new one. :(

Hi Guys

I'm happy. Now I could update the firmware of my RadarBox. Everything works again. I still don't know why suddenly it was possible to update. I just have closed and reopened the updateprogram quickly few times. Suddenly it works...the updateprogram could open the Radarbox and update the firmware.

A confused but happy Cofix :)

I did have the exact same problem, but the firmwareupdater did not update the radarbox and now my box is without any firmware and can not be used... :)
