Dash it...
« on: January 10, 2009, 03:26:02 PM »
For some reason, I seem to be getting a number of targets which show a dash where I'd expect the route to be.  Is this a new feature, a problem with my installation, or have I just not noticed this before?

DC, is the problem always on network flights, or local hardware flights as well?

I've seen this problem in the past on network flights, so I don't think it's a new problem.  I think it started when Airnav introduced the enhancement to share route data over the RB network.

It doesn't seem to be confined to network flights - a fair number of live flights are affected as well...
... and I'm fairly sure I would have noticed this before.

Okay, I've never seen this on local hardware flights.  Maybe worth checking your routes table for blank entries.

The affected live flights aren't in the Routes table.

Did these live flights appear on the network first?   If so, then the blank, erroneous routes data will have carried over from the network, which is a known bug.

Its network flights which don't have a route but they need to be populated in the server. Hence next time round they should have a route.

As mentioned above if there seen in local flights it cos of the network to local route bug.

O.K., I won't worry too much about it then, thanks.
But in answer to tarbat, no, some of the flights were already in my live coverage area when I switched on.
