Aircraft squawking 7700

I've been watching for some time a Lufthansa aircraft MOde S 3C64E3 Flight DLH534 which is at 10,000 near Chambry. Anyone have him on VHF and know what he is doing?

Don't know what prompted the squawk (on most occasions it's an ill passenger), but I had him on PlanePlotter at FL240 about 80 miles west of Paris, tracking 236°, which is consistent with the FRA-CCS routeing, so it doesn't look like he diverted anywhere.

Hi Dave,

I first picked him up on the network at 11:50 near Champagne (LFSR) at 10,000 ft. I watched him as he flew on a track of about 280º. He flew towards the French coast and then turned north near to Abbeville. He then turned south-east when he reached Abbeville and flew back to Chambry. He disappeared from the network soon after I posted my message.

I cannot imagine he would do that with an ill passenger. More likely he had some other problem and returned to EDDF.

I note from the Lufthansa arrivals and departures page that the flight is expected in Caracas at 14:58L. I wonder how this ties up with the normal arrival time.

Yes, I stand corrected - having looked at my PP log again, DLH534 popped up again at 14:45Z, westbound just to the NE of Paris, so it does indeed look like it returned to FRA.
