Now @Allocator:

I do not own a SBS-1 receiver but have only a Radarbox positioned in Berlin. The screenshots are made with the internal feature of the Radarbox software and the trails are also featured by the RB if you mark the origin with the mouse. The blank areas are not desired but also a feature of the RB. I want those eliminated...
(I am not sure if I understood you right and this answers your question!)

Maximum distance limit

I have also noticed several times now (different days with different propagation) that the maximum displayed distance of my own received RB signals is 269.951 NM (500 km). This distance was monitored by RadarBox Explorer.  This could be a software bug or software limit as well?!

Hi Berlin,

Some aircraft have defective ADS-B transponders which mean they occasionally give out wrong position information which may cause anomalies.

Anything above 250 nm will be at the edge of your line of sight due to the curvature of the earth.

Hope that helps.
