RaspberryPi Client -- unable to create sharing key
« on: June 25, 2023, 12:05:51 AM »
I have followed the installation directions (and retried multiple times) all with the same result...rbfeeder is not able to create a sharing key.  Here is the output from running running rbfeeder.   I have no idea where to go from here.  Obviously the network is working, otherwise I would not have been able to install it, plus it does say "connection established" down in the output.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  This is running on a Rpi, using Bullseye (just installed it today).

Hi

I dont know much about Linux but I presume you tried reinstalling the software

Stop  the service then run sudo rbfeeder and wait for connection and sharing key creation (you will see information in your screen

Thanks for you reply, yeah, I went through all of the usual steps.

I finally gave up and downloaded the feeder for FlightRadar, much more professional package, very precise and accurate directions...and it worked on the first try.  Goodbye AirNav.

Radarbox is currently undergoing a major expansion, to provide users with more exciting features in the near future.
Given the complexity of such an operation (while processing enormous quantities of information nonstop), minor inconsistencies are bound to happen.
Your station was affected by the ongoing transition, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. To help you get your station up and running as quickly as possible, we send a small set of procedures below. These will require some familiarity with the command line interface of your radarbox station.
Instructions:
1. Connect to your station through the command line
2. Execute the following command
sed -i ‘/^key=/d; /^sn=/d’ /etc/rbfeeder.ini
3. Reboot your station
4. Open a web browser and go to https://www.radarbox.com/addcoverage
5. Use your sharing key to register your station
