On start-up  I am getting the following message – “TGlobe3.GetLayer: Bad layer index 1.”  Is this a problem radarbox or is it my equipment?

That sounds like a 3D issue.  Try it in 2D.  What version are you using?

If I go to 3D I can see all the aircraft in Network, but non from Myflights even though the blue and white lights are flashing.Still nothing in 2D. I am using 5.00.072 with windows 10 and this is my first encounter with any problems.

I suggest that you re-install the software to see if that fixes your problem.  If you haven't done so install to c:\airnav not the programme files location.
