OK now I'm lost!
They do or they don't get their feeds from radarbox/sbs users

Glad that's sorted :)
I still don't know how route data is determined.
Any aircraft could be on any route so how can the database work there?

The flight ID determines the route flown i.e SHT6F,EGLL,EGPF,,  Shuttle 6F flies between London Heathrow and Glasgow.  This info is in the d/b and the software looks up each flight ID to see if it is in the d/b and if so displays it.  It is done independently of looking up the aircraft details database.

Clever stuff

Jetset

I've done a description of most of this stuff here: http://rodbearden.com/RadarBox/RadBox1.htm

Have a read of that - hope it helps.

Thanks for that Rod.
I don't seem to have the blue globe that highlights ADS-B aircraft?
What do you check to get that?

Hi Steve

Go to File...Preferences, and on the right of the first page, in the Grid Visible Columns box, make sure that "Tracking" is checked.

I don't know where you are, but at night most of the aircraft round here aren't ADS-B equipped so I don't get the globe beside many aircraft. During the day, about half of the planes in Myflights are equipped, so I get lots of globes. Remember that it's only the ones with the globes that get shown on the map.

Thank Rod, got it working now.
I'm Just north of London so I've got quite a busy sky above me even at 10pm :)
