Screenshot, the pics are in from my antenna install / range
« on: September 11, 2012, 12:18:46 AM »
So, I went up this evening and adjusted the antenna, sealed and waterproofed all my connections.

This is my polar diagram after only 5 mins.  I anticipate this to grow rather large over the next few days..

I will post updated pics every 8 hours or so in this thread with the progress of the polar diagram.

Cheers.

So here is an updated pic, taken at 5AM EST this morning,  You can see the polar diagram has filled out nicely and I am spiking to over 300Nm in some areas.

Ok sure, I will do it shortly....I am curious as to what info you will get from that?  Just not sure what the Mods-S rings are useful for?

Someone educate me?

Well Jason,

The rings are usefull because they represent 210 and 240 NM  ... so in this way the screen-shot show clearly the reception covered area and they repesent the probably phisical limit to have line os sight to one aircraft due to earth surfacfe curve ...  since the aircraft is flying high enough ... let us say near FL400 ... maybe
