iMac
« on: December 22, 2011, 12:03:03 PM »
Apologies If this topic has been covered before !!

Ok my laptop has decided to die, and therefore I thought i may treat myself to a shiny new iMac for xmas :)

Will Airnav run, on an iMac ??
If not how much hassle is it to get it to run on iMac ??
Will i need to download any software to get it to work ??
Is it worth all the hassle ??

Sorry for all the questions,  im not to clever when it comes to the wonderful world of computing !! :D

My understanding if you use boot manager you can set the iMac for dual operating system (Lion) and (Windows).

Ten you should be able to run Airnav software, not tried it myself as I have a pc for airnav only.

It is possible through Bootcamp (dual boot OSX and Windows).  But it will be easier to run and setup Windows within a virtual machine environment on the Mac using one of the following software and run Airnav Radarbox within windows:

Parallels Desktop for Mac http://www.parallels.com/uk/products/desktop/
and
Vmware fusion for Mac http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/overview.html

I am runnng my ANRB 24/7 on my iMac with Parrallels and Windows 7, works great! My wife prefers Fusion and has had good luck with that as well.

Enjoy!
