Graham,

Did you sort this out?  I've found the JSTARS author very helpful and quick with his email responses.

My sincere apologize if I am not so often here.
Having a Kinetic platform, I come here to update myself with last news about RB and JSTARS behaviour with it.

By the way, first, thanks alot Allocator to be so precious with your help to the users, much appreciated.

Graham contacted me by email and I think now all is solved successfully.

Jollygreen, it seems a typical problem about JAVA Virtual Machine missing, try to follow instruction reporter by Allocator or in JSTARS website to solve it.

A short update:

Now I am working to an interesting feature I think, suggested me by an user.
Feature is to extract also the squawk code of the air traffic logged.
In many cases, this information could help to understand in which area/sector that traffic has been flown.
It requests a bit of work, but I hope to release it (working :-P) as soon as possible.
Stay tuned!

Hi

Sent a pm JSTARS author but has anyone else seen this?

Setup 64bit win 7 as a dual boot on my XP machine.  JSTARS runs ok on XP but with the Win7 install in refuses to acknowledge the license.dat file and only runs as an unregistered shareware version.

Graham,

As the JSTARS author only visits this forum occasionally, a PM is probably not going to produce a quick response.  I suggest that you contact Rob via his contact email address on the JSTARS website.

Have you put the license.dat file in the same directory as JSTARS.exe file?

Yep .dat file in the same directory.  Running it from same directory that was ok under XP.  Will await a reply from my email.

Thanks

Graham

Just for information,
license.dat is issued on the base of a crypted code generated by JSTARS during registration request. Windows version is one of the parameter interested by this process, that's why with Windows XP it works fine and with Windows 7 not.
A new license.dat file must be issued under a registration request sent by JSTARS who runs under Win7.
