Crowded skies over ALB
« on: March 26, 2010, 10:37:37 PM »
This is some of the closest horizontal and vertical separation I've seen yet.  The aircraft are not as close together as they appear, of course.  I wish I could have captured the vertical separation screen as well.  The descending VRD A320 approached the VOR level at FL370.  As it crossed in front of the oncoming SAS A330, the boxes on the vertical screen were touching.

I had two acft intersect over the area west of Calgary Alberta the other day, one at FL380, one at FL370. Not a big deal, I know, but they got to the same point positionally (not vertically of course) at the exact same time.

Off-topic: I need to go rummage thru the options and figure out how you have the program showing in feet rather than flight level at certain altitudes.

Hello Jay if you go to your preferences and then the radarbox tab then FL setting is under transition altitude.

hope that saves you looking too much.
