Hello all!

New user checking in. Location: 6NM East of EGGP. Absolutely chuffed with my purchase of Radarbox but currently experiencing some patchy reception due to difficult terrain and buildings in the immediate vicinity. Will hopefully have an antenna above the roofline by the weekend to improve matters.

best regards
Chris (WAL 2T)

Hi Chris welcome to Radarbox.
Hope you enjoy your radar box, the best piece of equipment I have bought and the best forum on the net. Enjoy

Many thanks all for the warm welcome. I've experimented with the antenna position and now managing to cover a 120-200nm arc for en-routes N, E and W which certainly exceeds my expectations for the bundled antenna.

best regards
Chris

Welcome Chris,

I need that low level cover around Liverpool as I loose aircraft at about 2500ft on finals.

All the best

Hi Allocator, thanks for the welcome. I'm currently losing the Liverpool inbouds at around 800ft. Ideally I'm assuming that I should be able to monitor ground movements around the apron? I can hear the ground stuff on VHF ok with the big 2m colinear so hopefully I can improve this when I get an antenna for the radarbox up on the main mast.
