Help

I have two Bristish Airways aircraft on current display in 'My Flights' but only one of them displays the Bristish Airways logo?

Cheers

Sorry for the long delay in replying been out all weekend until now.

They are gone now but this morning

Easy Jet no flt id but modeS 405b64
and
Luffhansa again no flight id modeS 3c6590

I appear to have a large number of aircraft without flight id's.

Hello which version are you using? Has this just started?  You won't get a logo unless you get a Flight ID. Is this constant or could it be to do with the network trouble at the moment.

Hope you get sorted.

I am runnign v3.07 and it has been happening with all the versions since I have had the AirNav box working.

I happens on roughly 5-10 percent of my flights.

Is there a manual way that I can attach the logo to the aircraft?

Also the flight route is not displayed.

Cheers

You are probably missing routes as the Airnav server is still likely to be struggling a bit at present, if you don't have the routes in your database the lookups may not succeed.

As for flight IDs, you receive them direct from the aircraft so if you have a slightly poor path and some transmissions are not received then that could explain it.

Can you determine whether there is a pattern to it, i.e. more distant aircraft tend to have fewer flight IDs received?

The logo is based on the Flight ID - so if there is no Flight ID displayed (or if it has been entered incorrectly by the crew) then it is not possible to display a logo.

For instance, BAW123 will show the correct British Airways logo

But BA123 will not display any logo.

Look in the /Logos directory to see all the logos available.

Allocator - remember that since Version 3 arrived the logos are based on the ICAO code or the IATA code- so BA codes will show as well as BAW! BA will be looked up in the airlines table of Navdata.db3 and converted to BAW.

A better example would be that DAL220 will show a logo but DA202 won't.

Ah!  Excellent - missed that somewhere down the line.  OK, so my BA example isn't very good - but a Flight ID of 123 (for example) isn't going to produce a logo.  It's still garbage in/garbage out if the Flight ID isn't correct.

There is no pattern.

I live in Cambridgeshire and I get flights into Stansted, Luton and Heathrow.

It seems to do it with all the airports.

I have checked my logo's and they are all there.

I may up grade to v3.08 and see if that makes a differance.

Charlie - there's no differenece in RadarBox's handling of logos in any of the Version 3 Beta releases.

Please have a read of the full explanation of how logos work here: http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=2894.msg25783#msg25783.

Let us know if you still think you've got problems after you've read that.
