How embarrassing!

I've just realised that I've passed the number of posts required to become a Hero member.

Bouquets and brickbats accepted, please be somewhat gentle folks!

Hey, well done Brian - you join the very select 'hopeless case' club - lol

I read your technical explanations with great interest!  If I can see how something works, I'm usually OK, but all the clever stuff is often over my head :-)  Always learning though!

I can accept virtual flowers here, or via PM if you're also embarrassed.

If only technical explanations were as easy to type as they are to think about.

I do my best to make things clear, but it's not a simple process.

I think it is time to thank those 5 star gentlemen for their superb support that they give to the forum, supported by Airnav. I am a mere 3 star contibutor but have to say that this forum gives great help to 'newbies' like myself, with all sorts of helpfull advice. I know no other forum that is monitored by the manufactures so closely, taking the time difference into account. Airnav maybe having server problems at the moment but overall the help we get from this group is great.
Thanks to all and enjoy the virtual bouquet of roses and may I raise a virtual glass to all in ear shot!
Greetings all and good luck Airnav in sorting out their network problems.
From a happy and addictive user of the RB - shame about the outage though!!!

Congrats Fenris - input to this forum from 'hero' members like you has helped me no end since I first ventured into the world of ANRB about a month ago - much appreciated.

Suspect this post will take me to the dizzy heights of being a Junior member rather than a newbie...!

-----------------------

Rather than start a new thread, I need help from a 'hero' member (or anyone else):

After upgrading my monitor to a 22" one, I have now invested in a Uniden UBC3500XLT scanner.

Downloaded and installed bcTool software.

Anyone got any idea where I can get a cheap USB cable to make the above work? UK sourced preferable.

Cheers
Chris

(Proud to be junior rather than new - but a long way to go yet...)
