Database error G-YMMS
« on: August 12, 2009, 05:23:45 AM »
Comes on on My Flights as a B762 not as B777!

Is there a site or address to highlight this basic error?

Tramline,

The RadarBox data autopopulate comes from the Gatwick Aviation Society (GAS) database.  This database is maintained by unpaid enthusiasts who do an excellent job and allow us all access to their data.  However, the occasional error does creep into the database as for G-YMMS which has the correct details except for the long type name.  This is their website address.

You can also manually update the record in your database using Database Explorer

With so much info errors are bound to crop up.  No criticism intended on those who support the hobby,  just wondered how this could be flagged up.

Thanks  the info Allocator

My pleasure Tramline.  I know that the GAS team often get a hard time from people using their free service 'demanding' that the database be 100% correct (impossible!), so just wanted to make sure that everybody understands that.

They are appreciative of errors/corrections being highlighted so that they can keep the database as accurate as possible.

Morning Allocator,  totally agree with your words. They really do a fantastic job and there is to be the odd error. There is no way that they could be 100%. Colin.
