Manual Database Editing in Beta V3.01
« on: July 27, 2009, 09:41:16 PM »
You may, or may not have noticed that it is now much easier to manually edit aircraft records using RadarBox Beta V3.01

- Right click on an aircraft in the MyFlight or Network aircraft lists and select 'Locate Mode S Code in Database Explorer' and Database Explorer opens at that aircraft.  This is excellent for correcting those pesky '...' aircraft types.

I tend to have airframes.org running in my browser so that I can quickly do a search and then transfer the details to Database Explorer.  This is MUCH quicker and easier than having to use File > Database Explorer and then do a manual search for the aircraft.

A very useful feature, I have a fair few ...s to fix so this will help a lot.

What is it about Dash 8 400s? And BAe 146s and RJs?

Very useful mate - is there a way of refreshing the my flights list, with the details you have just entered - somtimes its hard to keep up with the ones you have entered. I have been setting a filter for ... so they are all in one list.

Hi allocator
is there a way i can send my flight routes that i have edited betweeen the last two betas, let me explain, i have to do a full down load everytime a new beta comes out, as the patches dont work with me,  i have windows xp and a new dell pc, it would save me having to re enter the awe etc flights as they dont automatically update
thanks in advance dave-c

Hi Dave,

You have to make a backup from your old "NavData. db3" file and then restore this file into the new version. (Data directory)

All your (revised and added) data is now available in the newest version.

Hope this helps.

I just untick the 'Process Hardware Flights' box and then tick it again.  This forces the list to refresh.  I don't do this every time I do an edit, just every so often.

I should have said 'Process Hardware Flights' and it's just below the thumbnail pictures just above the green Hardware Connected indicator.

OK! Sorry, I misunderstood the problem. I solve this "refresh-problems" with me at the same way as Allocator described.
