number of flight

Hello
What is a good number of flights to track?
Today between 0800 and 2200 local i had 1990 flights.
During the day I had between 80 and 140 flights displaying in 'My Flights' at any one time.
Is this good?
I am using a Watson antenna in the roof and live approx 40 miles NE of Stansted.
Yours
Charlie

That is excellent ...nice to be somewhere flat.
Here at Torquay I am halfway up the N E side of a 600ft hill facing into Lyme Bay...so the "view" to the S & W is a bit restricted.
Antenna is a MD1105 on a biscuit tin on Flat roof.
A good day ( only got a couple of weeks to quote from so far ) will produce approx 1200 in about 14 hours.
Today in atrocious weather (can't see top of bottom of hill- vis about 100yds)- 4 hour so far produced 734 contacts
Here is polar diagram

Your kit is working really well, is there something in the way to the south though?

I live a fairly built up area and wherever I move my antenna south is poor.
But I we are planning to move house to a smaller and less dense populated area and then the antenna will be outside on the roof.
This will hopefully aid my other hobby ham radio

Good luck with that, if you get the aerial higher and outside goodness knows what you contacts you will get.
Just out of curosity what aerial are you using?

It's a Watson I can't remember the model number but I bought it from Rocket Radio.
If you contact them I am sure they will tell you.
It was about eighty pounds
