Jdo,

I've sent you a Private Message on the Kinetic forum regarding what Chris at ML&S (the SBS-1 dealer) said.

Having owned an SBS-1 for over 2 and a half years now, I can say without any hesitation that RadarBox, especially the software interface, is far superior to the SBS-1/SBS-1e and the BaseStation software.

Not sure about your question regarding the AirNav hardware?  Do you need the Ethernet interface that the SBS-1e has?  Otherwise, the receivers are much the same and it is the software that makes the real difference.
