Flights Displayed ?
« on: October 08, 2008, 08:30:20 PM »
Airnav,

I have noticed since the update, the longer I leave Radarbox running the, number of flights displayed on the map decrease. Please see attached screenshot, I have had the program running for a couple of days.

As can be seen from the interface I anm receiving flights but only one is displayed, ther are no filters set and if I shut down the program and rerstart it appears to be OK.

Which brings me on to another subject did you ever manage to simulate my start up issues(Topic 1286 reply#145), ie taking an age to start the program ?

Regards,

Christian

The start up issues are caused by your antivirus checker. Check the settings in there and get back to us.

We have never heard of issue mentioned above and find it very curious. In your picture you have removed the Globe column, can you enable that column and take a similar pic in the future.

I have checked Norton and ANRB is set to allow.

The delay on start up seems to be when the "Validating database MyLog.db3" statement appears in the green box.

Due to this I have installed RB 2009 full version into another folder from scratch so that the database is effectively empty and the program started up in less than 1 minute.

Could it be down to the database ? I have also noticed that I have a mylog.db3.bak & navdata.db3.bak in the data folder,  could this be causing any issues and what are they for?

On the other issue, I have enabled the globe symbol, it will take around 24 to 48 hours to recreate the fault with the flights displayed.

Ummmmm no not that I can think of.

I do still have some of the old issues that were resolved in 2009 every blue moon, such as,

If I leave the program minimised for a long period of time it will not restore & when I change map colours they revert back to default on restart, but as I say they are very infrequent.

Should I install the program as a full version again and copy my database over, for a fresh start to see if this helps ?
